Portsmouth – Norfolk
Hampton Roads Transit Elizabeth River Ferry is a system of three 150-passenger paddle-wheel ferry boats, one of which is the world’s first natural gas-powered pedestrian ferry. The ferry travels between North Landing and High Street in Portsmouth and downtown Norfolk at The Waterside. Please visit www.gohrt.com for service times and locations.
Passengers that use the ferry to go work in downtown Norfolk at least three times a week are eligible for a free personal parking space at the Portsmouth park & sail lot. Please contact the program administrator for more information at 1-800-700-RIDE.

Sunny Bank Ferry
Operated by VDOT, this free ferry is in Northumberland County. Located on Route 644, it crosses the Little Wicomico River. For more information, contact the Northern Neck Residency at 804-333-3696.
Merry Point Ferry
