Director, Ron Hodges

The Director of TRAFFIX assures that funding for the program is adequate and sustainable. This person works to make sure the Program itself is successful and that it adheres to all Long Range Plan as set forth by the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), which is a regional organization that provides funding for the Program, Certification criteria to the TPO as set forth by the Federal Highways Administration (FHWA), and the TRAFFIX Work Plan, as set forth through HRT. The TRAFFIX Director meets with the staff to review the goals of the organization and to make certain that these goals are attained and growth in the program is sustainable. Finally, the TRAFFIX Director makes sure the goals of the program are aligned with the Mission of Hampton Roads Transit.

Program Administrator, Sheran Taylor-Jones

The Program Administrator’s main objective is to work with the TRAFFIX team to provide excellent customer service and transportation alternatives. The administrator offers the behind the scenes administrative support as well as manage the Commuter Computer, the Guaranteed Ride program, and the Park & Sail program.

Vanpool Coordinator, Latwana McClure

The Vanpool Coordinator coordinates with van lease applicants to ensure proper leasing procedures. The coordinator is the contact person for lessees and she serves as liaison between the lessees and the maintenance department; risk management, the insurance company, and financial institutions.

The coordinator also obtains critical commuter data from the lessees that is required by the Federal Transit Authority (FTA) and reported to the National Transit Database (NTD). All lessees are required to complete a monthly report and submit it to the Vanpool Coordinator.

Employer Outreach Consultant, Stacey Swinson

The TRAFFIX Business Outreach Consultant is responsible for developing a methodical strategy that will be put into place by a business or firm.  The Outreach Consultant work closely with Human Resources Directors or CEOs to determine the demand for the company’s alternative transportation needs by analysis, implementation, and evaluation.

TRAFFIX’s Business Outreach Consultant is also responsible for working with promotion and benefits managers in order to help promote the services and to attract the employees.

We can also conduct surveying as a basis to understand where commuters are coming from and how we can best serve you.

Military Outreach Consultant, Amber Rhodes

The TRAFFIX Military Outreach Consultant is ready and happy to assist in making your commute to local military installations a more affordable and stress-free one. It is a well-known fact throughout Hampton Roads that traffic back-ups into Naval Station Norfolk are a daily reality for commuters to contend with. Thus, many commuters look to TRAFFIX for alternatives to driving this stressful and time-consuming commute alone each day. Not only can the Military Outreach Consultant educate you about TRAFFIX transportation alternatives, one can also learn about how their commute can become a free one! While the Transportation Incentive Program (TIP) is a Department of the Navy program, TRAFFIX will educate commuters about how to get on board with TIP in conjunction with HRT and TRAFFIX’s services.

Telework Outreach Consultant, Jeff Fykes

As a pioneer for setting up formal telework programs for businesses in Hampton Roads your TRAFFIX Telework Virginia Outreach Consultant is eager to assist your business with transitioning to a telework arrangement.

The consultant will help you develop a telework plan, a policy and employee agreement and walk you through filing all quarterly documents to ensure your success. Selecting the proper hardware /software solutions is key for your organizations remote workers and we will continually provide guidance throughout your telework experience.

We offer telework surveys to establish a baseline for your organization. Formal training is available for supervisor and employees to ensure every teleworker has a solid foundation and feels comfortable with knowing how to start their day, how to end their day and how to handle interruptions.

Our formal program is adopted and approved by the state of Virginia.
